C:\Program Files\Nebulaor your Documents — and runControllerMapper.exe.Install .NET 8 if Windows asks
Nebula runs on Microsoft's free .NET 8 Desktop Runtime. Windows offers to fetch it the first time if it's missing.
Plug in your controller and map
It shows up in the status bar. Open Mapping, click a button on the drawing, choose what it does, then turn the mapper on with the switch or F8.
Windows SmartScreen may say it "protected your PC". Choose More info → Run anyway, after checking the file's SHA-256 against the one on this page. Signed builds are coming with the installer.
System requirements
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
- .NET 8 Desktop Runtime (x64)
- A controller: Xbox, PlayStation, Switch or most HID pads — see the list
- For the virtual controller: ViGEmBus. For hiding the real controller: HidHide (Pro)
Uninstalling
Delete Nebula's folder. Your profiles and settings live in %LocalAppData%\NebulaControllerMapper; delete that too for a clean slate. If you used "Hide the real controller", Nebula has already put HidHide back the way it found it.
